As Bolivia is the center of origin of various plants and animals, the potential it has to feed its population and that of other regions is great.
To the extent that the population is fed with products of agrobiodiversity, the quality of their diets will improve significantly and food systems will be strengthened, making them more resilient to the effects of climate change and therefore sustainable.
The identification of agrobiodiversity species, their agronomic characterization and the study of their potential contribution to improving the quality of people's nutrition are some of the key actions of this strategic line that are developed through the agrobiodiversity program.
